About us
Garland Hunting Safaris is based in the heart of the Eastern Cape of South Africa. Nearing a small village named Bolo about 110km inland from East London. The landscape offers a little bit of everything – from deep valleys covered in thick indigenous bush to the open plains. The environment is breath takingly beautiful with an abundance of game and vegetation which is conducive to their success.
Cape Buffalo, Eland, Nyala and giraffe can often be viewed from our main deck at both sunrise and sunset making for glorious mornings to blissful relaxing evenings. In the evenings one can rest assure that the “lapa” will bring many great hunting stories, great camaraderie and of course great food mostly done on the braai “barbecue”.
How it began. Two PHs were sitting around a campfire one evening sharing hunting stories and reminiscing on hunts and fishing trips from the past in various parts of Africa. It was at that moment where we realised we had to share our passion with fellow hunters across the globe. We wanted to share the raw – the authentic – the real ! With like minded people who share our passion for conservation and ethical fair chase hunting. We headed inland shortly after that fine evening and embarked on a boys springbuck hunt, free range and witty made for some tricky hunting. Both long range and up close and personal – the decision was final , we have to share this , how can we describe these moments better than having YOU along with us to experience it first hand and leaving you wanting to return!
At our home base there is a section of the farm named Garland, believed to have been named in the early 1900s possibly even the late 1800s so we decided on Garland Hunting Safaris.
Here, we are awaiting you to accompany us on not just another hunting experience, but to feel Africa , to breathe the air, to be humbled whilst walking through the bush on how small we really are in this world, yet each one of us makes a huge difference to the conservation of this beautiful mother land and what she bares .
